I believe if someone is not happy doing his job, even if that person is a good specialist in that field, do not ask that person to stay (if he decides to leave) and/or do not let that person to stay at that job, because he will be unproductive and may not be loyal. This is what I always believed. Actually, latest Sokol case with Berkshire proved the validity of the above statement one more time!
